Gemco Manufacturing has been a leading metal stamping company. We provide OEM manufacturers with precision progressive die metal stampings, fourslide / multislide stamped and formed components, wireforms, and springs.
While these economic times are testing every one of our companies, we are working diligently to position ourselves for the economy to turn. When manufacturing and industrial growth resume, you can be sure Gemco will be the go-to metal stamping company in the industry.
With the intent of moving Gemco into additional metal stamping markets, we acquired Fabor Fourslide of Connecticut in 2009. Fabor had providied high quality fourslide components for over 28 years. Gemco transferred Fabor’s metal stamping operations into our Southington, Connecticut facility and the acquisition has transformed Gemco into one of the largest fourslide and metal stamping operations in the northeast region. Our facility now houses more than 50 fourslide machines and 12 progressive die power presses ranging from 15 to 100 Tons.
Like Gemco Manufacturing, Fabor Fourslide was a family-owned metal stamping business that focused on service and quality. Over the years they had developed solid business relationships with a variety of industries that we were not previously involved with. This acquisition has allowed Gemco to not only grow our business but to broaden it across new diversified markets. It has resulted in a stronger and more viable future for Gemco Manufacturing and our customers.
With this acquisition, we welcomed key individuals who were responsible for the success of Fabor Fourslide. As you know, employees committed to quality and service are the pulse of a company, such is the case with these individuals. They were welcomed into the Gemco family and are active contributors to our current and future success.
