Custom Wire Forming
Gemco specializes in custom wire forming. We create custom wireforms in various shapes and sizes. We can manufacture components made of wire in diameters from .010” to .187”. Gemco utilizes Multi-slide / fourslide forming machines and CNC wire forming machines to provide the optimum and most cost effective processes to produce wireform components.
Wire Forming Process
Gemco's CNC wire forming processes produce competitively priced / complicated components made of round or shaped wire by combining several processes include coiling, bending and forming while utilizing dimensional point of contact inspection probing thus eliminating secondary operations typically associated with this type of component. CNC wireforming processes afford the benefits of lower cost tooling and shorter start-up times versus hard tooling a fourslide or building secondary tooling. This process is also ideal for the prototyping of new component designs while minimizing up-front tooling investment costs.
