Growing Metal Stamping Industries: Military & Defense
The military and defense industry also saw an interesting year of new growth technologies. There are more artificial intelligence machines and robots being brought into development, more connected devices, autonomous platforms, and even Virtual Reality has influenced the defense industry. With more cutting edge technology available for military access, it allows for seamless communication and new military strategies to be utilized throughout the industry. The U.S military spending is set to increase for the fifth straight year to near historic highs being reached for 2020. The Trump administration has proposed a $750 billion dollar budget for 2020.
With military and defense industries growing as rapidly as they are there should be no surprise manufacturers across the United States have seen new manufacturing opportunities in the industry as well. Supplying military and defense companies with precision metal stampings is no easy task. It’s a very competitive market that has no room for errors. Every part needs to be made with the highest degree of precision and quality in every part. This is precisely why Gemco works so hard to make sure every part that leaves our facility surpasses our customer’s satisfaction.
Gemco has continued to work with our long-standing customers on military and defense equipment as well as seen new work from new and upcoming companies. We are excited to see where all these technologies go and looking forward to continuing to make metal stampings that contribute to the success of these companies.
